You're probably picturing the all-new Magnum P.I.!
With the series set to premiere on Monday, Sept. 24 at 9/8c on CBS and CBS All Access, the team rallied at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 to meet with fans and answer questions.
We got to speak exclusively with stars Jay Hernandez ("Thomas Magnum") and Stephen Hill ("Theodore 'TC' Calvin"), along with Executive Producers Peter Lenkov (also known for Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver) and Eric Guggenheim (Hawaii Five-0, Parenthood)—and this group is excited about what's in store!

Be on the lookout for Easter Eggs in Magnum P.I.
"If you watched the pilot, there are a lot of Easter Eggs, and I think that if you watch the series we're going to continue that tradition," said Lenkov.
We aren't telling you where any are, but keep in mind that the series is set on the shores of Oahu—also home to the classic 1980s Magnum, P.I. series and set in the same universe as the current Hawaii Five-0.
Magnum P.I. recruited Justin Lin to direct the pilot with "fun ingredients."
Well known for his work on The Fast and the Furious, Justin Lin has previously worked with some of the Magnum team. When Lenkov said the series had a lot of fun ingredients, Hill got a laugh when he added that they're "ingredients he's used to cooking with!"
Many of your favorite Magnum P.I. icons and props are back!
Cars? Check. Dogs? Check. Beach? Check. Aloha shirts? Check. Estate? Check. Watch? Check. Ring? Check. Helicopter paint job? Check. Hats? DOUBLE check!
Yup, you can expect Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0 crossovers.
"Our medical examiner in the pilot is a regular on Five-0," noted Lenkov. "The first batch of episodes we'll have a lot of cross-over characters ... and ultimately we'll do a bona fide crossover."

Magnum P.I. will serve as a "valentine" to our veterans.
Like the original, Lenkov says the all-new Magnum will show a "positive portrayal of veterans returning home, finding their place in civilian live, repurposing their skills, and finding their purpose."
Hernandez seems pretty excited about the Ferraris on Magnum P.I.!
"It's a very special, loving relationship—very nurturing," Hernandez joked about getting to work with so many awesome cars, before breaking down why he loves the classic Ferrari 308 and new Ferrari 488.
