Faith Ford earned five Emmy nominations and two consecutive Golden Globe Award nominations for her portrayal of perky reporter Corky Sherwood on the critically acclaimed CBS series Murphy Brown, which ran from 1988-1998. 

Following the original Murphy Brown run, Ford headlined the CBS series Maggie Winters. Next, she starred for two seasons as probation officer Shelly Kilmartin opposite Norm Macdonald on the series Norm. Also, she starred with Kelly Ripa for three seasons on the hit comedy Hope & Faith, and co-starred opposite Fred Goss and Jerry O'Connell in the comedy series Carpoolers.

Ford's additional television credits include starring roles in the television movies The Fish Tank, on CBS, Night Visitors and Field Of Vision, and the cable movies Her Desperate Choice, Moms On Strike, Sorority Wars, Trading Christmas, Christmas In Mississippi, and the two-part The Bridge opposite Ted McGinley, her Hope & Faith co-star.

Some of Ford's many guest star credits include Criminal Minds, on the Network, The Middle and My Name Is Earl. Her early credits include a series regular role on the series Popcorn Kid, and a recurring character on Thirtysomething.

Ford's feature film credits include North, directed by Rob Reiner, Prom and The Pacifier, opposite Vin Diesel. In 2011 Ford produced and starred in the indie thriller Escapee, written and directed by her husband, Campion Murphy, and starring Dominic Purcell.

In addition to her acting and producing career, Ford has a passion for cooking. She made her writing debut in 2004 with the cookbook Cooking With Faith, co-written with Melissa Clark, which focuses on healthier versions of the classic Louisianan cuisine of her childhood.

Additionally, she hosted the lifestyle web series "Mind Body Balance" on MSN.

A big dog lover, Faith supports Pets for Patriots, among other charities.

Ford was raised in the quiet community of Pineville, Louisianna. In high school, she acted in school plays, and in her senior year, she was a finalist in Teen magazine's annual model search.

When she was 17, she moved to New York City where she worked in commercials, took acting classes and did some modeling. At 18, Ford landed a role on the daytime drama Another World, and in 1985, after a year on the show, she decided to move to Los Angeles to further pursue her career as an actress.

Currently, she divides her time between Louisiana and Los Angeles. Her birthday is Sept. 14.
