Biography

Grant Shaud is well known for his portrayal of Miles Silverberg, the neurotic executive producer in the Emmy Award-winning hit CBS comedy series Murphy Brown, which originally ran from 1988-1998.

Shaud has guest starred on numerous television shows, such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Good WifeLaw & Order: Special Victims UnitBoston Legal, MediumLouie and The Drew Carey Show

Currently, he can be seen in a recurring role on Younger.

Among Shaud's theater credits are Broadway productions of Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song Trilogy, as well as Relatively Speaking, a play comprised of three one-act comedies: Talking Cure by Ethan Coen, George Is Dead by Elaine May and Honeymoon Motel by Woody Allen.

Additionally, he has appeared off-Broadway in original productions by Kenneth Lonergan, John Patrick Shanley, Neil LaBute and Israel Horovitz.

On the big screen, Shaud's credits include Wall StreetAntz, and the indie drama Who We Are Now.

For the past four years, Shaud has lived in Wayne, Pennsylvania, where he was raised.

He is a fan of all of Philadelphia's professional sports teams, especially the Phillies. He was born in Evanston, Illinois, and, though he moved to the Philadelphia area at the young age of 9 months, he also has an affinity for Chicago.  

Shaud graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Richmond. His birthday is Oct. 17.
