Not all treats will leave you with a sweet taste in your mouth. For the sake of your friend's feelings, fake a smile and say "thank you" anyway. 

Break away from the norm and add a little Valentine's Day flair to your workspace. Not into pink doilies? That's totally fine. Take another tip from Abby, and punk up your space with red, black, and cute little critter decorations (well... bats, in her case).

Spending Valentine's Day without a significant other doesn't have to be sad. In fact, you can help ensure that your single friends will have a night rivaling any other date they've ever had. Treat them to a scrumptious meal or send them to a basketball game.

Don't have that kind of cash? Throw a movie night or go out for coffee. After all, it's the thought that really counts.
