When the circle of trust prevailed.

When the circle of trust prevailed.

In the Season 7 finale of NCIS: Los Angeles, we saw just how in sync #Densi can be in the field. In order to defeat Tahir Khaled, Deeks backed Kensi's (rather dangerous) plan to pose as a cadet at Sam's son's military academy.
When Deeks and Kensi felt out

When Deeks and Kensi felt out "I do's."

In "The Seventh Child," Deeks and Kensi broached the topic of marriage and whether they felt ready to tie the knot. The conversation seemed to plant the seeds for the next step in their relationship.
When Kensi and Deeks moved in together.

When Kensi and Deeks moved in together.

Things became official when #Densi moved in together on "Come Back"—and announced it to everyone at work.
When Deeks mentioned

When Deeks mentioned "proposal."

After Kensi hinted that she'd like Deeks to take her to Giorgio Baldi's for a romantic dinner, the suave agent accidentally remarked that the restaurant is a place you only go for proposals—leaving both of them speechless.
When Kensi and Deeks spent the holidays together—with their moms.

When Kensi and Deeks spent the holidays together—with their moms.

Nothing says "getting serious" like spending the holidays together with both sets of parents. That's exactly what Deeks and Kensi decided to do on "Cancel Christmas." Their moms wanted to spend Christmas with them, so the couple decided to celebrate all together.
When they had babies on the brain.

When they had babies on the brain.

The couple got their first glimpse of parenthood on "Core Values," when Kensi comforted a crying baby and Deeks joined in by singing a lullaby.
When Kensi got a glimpse into Deeks' past.

When Kensi got a glimpse into Deeks' past.

The couple that sweats together stays together, right? Deeks was certainly sweating on a morning bike/run date with Kensi. A number of scantily clad girls called out as they passed, referring to him as "Party Marty." He assured his girlfriend that those women were from a different time in his life—she's the one he loves now.
When the couple faced uncertainty about Deeks' investigation.

When the couple faced uncertainty about Deeks' investigation.

The LAPD's Internal Affairs investigation into Deeks certainly created some tension for the couple. After he revealed some behavior he's not proud of, Kensi was left to worry.
When work got in the way of romance.

When work got in the way of romance.

Though the dynamic duo had pursued a romance outside the office, duty still called. They found themselves ducking for cover when they visited Talia after her partner died.
When a woman came between them.

When a woman came between them.

Talia's flirtatious behavior with Deeks resulted in a kiss in front of Kensi, creating a pretty uncomfortable situation. Luckily, Marty did his best to smooth things over and made surprise dinner plans.
When Kensi met Deeks' mom.

When Kensi met Deeks' mom.

Those surprise dinner plans turned into Kensi meeting Deeks' mother! Kensi finally realized that everything Marty had been hiding from her was part of his effort to take their relationship to the next level.
When some roleplaying entered the relationship.

When some roleplaying entered the relationship.

Kensi and Deeks have no problem roleplaying on the job. The two went undercover as an assistant and chauffeur for a well-known model, who became a potential target after surviving a massacre in Peru.
When the money question came up.

When the money question came up.

After Kensi went undercover and experienced life among the rich and famous, Deeks questioned whether he'd be able to give her the lifestyle she wants. Of course, Kensi confirmed she's not in it for the money.
When they joined—and escaped—a cult together.

When they joined—and escaped—a cult together.

To prevent leaks that could harm national security, Kensi and Deeks went undercover as prospective members of a cult called The Church of the Unlocked Mind. As the two pretended not to know each other, they nearly broke cover when Deeks' simulated drowning damaged the communications device in his ear. A series of death-defying moments ended on a lighter note, as Deeks suggestively told Kensi, "An unlocked mind is nothing without an unlocked body."
When they realized the importance of boundaries.

When they realized the importance of boundaries.

Having an office romance can lead to some awkward moments, like when Deeks and Kensi were caught kissing on the job by Hetty. After a quick reminder about boundaries, the pair went on to solve their next case.
When distance made the heart grow fonder.

When distance made the heart grow fonder.

That last time DEA agent Talia Del Campo was around, Kensi wasn't exactly thrilled that she kissed Deeks. But, being forced on a undercover mission together on "The Long Goodbye" made for some strong female bonding—much to Deeks' dismay.
When Deeks got bothered by Kensi's clutter.

When Deeks got bothered by Kensi's clutter.

Not happy with the state of Kensi's messy desk, Deeks enlisted some help in "Defectors." When Callen started to have a chat with Kensi and offer up a self-help book on decluttering, she quickly realized Deeks was behind it. It seemed like just the right amount of revenge when she went undercover as a model and made him jealous.
When Kensi stood behind Deeks.

When Kensi stood behind Deeks.

When Deeks was arrested for the murder of his former partner, Francis Boyle, on "Internal Affairs," Kensi defended him and did everything she could to clear his name.
When Deeks proposed to Kensi (while she was in a coma).

When Deeks proposed to Kensi (while she was in a coma).

When Deeks decided to pop the question in "The Queen's Gambit," he didn't exactly pick the most traditional situation for the proposal; Kensi was unconscious, still recovering from the injuries she got in the Season 8 premiere.

In fact, Deeks proposed a total of three times to no avail—but you've gotta admire the guy's commitment!
When Kensi proposed to Deeks.

When Kensi proposed to Deeks.

In the Season 8 finale, "Unleashed," Kensi flipped the script on Deeks. Following the tragic death of Sam's wife and subsequent takedown of Tahir Khaled, the special agent decided she didn't want to waste any more time to be with her true love, and proposed to Deeks using a flashbang (stun grenade) pin as a makeshift engagement ring.
