Believe it or not, this isn't the first time professional model and Season 33 castaway Ken McNickle has gone off the grid.

In fact, this confident 33-year-old spent over five years enjoying the untethered pleasures of a simple life in Hawaii; however, everything changed when he found out he had a daughter, which was the only reason he needed to plug back in and rejoin society.

Though, it wasn't easy for McNickle to leave his little girl at home while he competes for $1 million, this handsome outdoorsman knows Survivor has his name written all over it.

How will this self-sufficient Gen X-er hold up against the rest of his tribe, and will the distance away from his daughter prove too difficult?

Find out when the 90-minute season premiere of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X airs on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 8/7c on CBS and CBS All Access.
