Cush Jumbo made her U.S. television series debut on The Good Wife. Her British television credits include the lead role in the top rated series Vera for ITV1, opposite Brenda Blethyn, and the award-winning comedy Getting On. Her upcoming feature film credits include City of Tiny Lights, based on the Patrick Neate novel, and Remainder, opposite Tom Sturridge and Ed Speelers.
Recently, Cush Jumbo appeared on the New York stage at the Public Theatre in the acclaimed, sold out one-woman show she wrote, Josephine and I, for which she won the prestigious 2015 Lucille Lortel Award for Best Solo Performance. Her other Broadway credits include Jez Butterworth’s The River, opposite Hugh Jackman, and the role of Marc Antony in an all-female version of Julius Caesar, directed by Phyllida Lloyd. Her British stage credits and awards include the prestigious Ian Charleson Award for her performance as Rosalind in As You Like It at the Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester, and She Stoops to Conquer at The National Theatre.
