Alice Faye makes a rare television appearance, starring as Betsy Layton, who boards the ship with her husband (Noah Beery, Jr.), whose huge wad of cash makes the crew suspicious; Capt. Stubing (Gavin MacLeod) and the crew go overboard to impressa welfare worker (Lois Nettleton), who is to decide if the captain can have permanent custody of his daughter, Vicki (Jill Whelan); and newlyweds (Eve Plumb and Sal Viscuso) celebrating their honeymoon are shocked when they are joined on the cruise by two of the groom's friends (Norman Alden and Dick Bakalyan). In CELEBRATION, written by Harvey Bullock, Betsy and Gordon Layton (Miss Faye and Beery) are taking their dream trip. The crew members, who know that Gordon is a bank guard, wonder where all the money is coming from to buy his wife expensive gifts -- especially when he's always carrying a black attache case. In CAPTAIN PAPA, written by Ruth Brooks Flippen from a story by Lee Aronsohn, Capt. Stubing, Vicki and the crew try to convince Susan Stoddard (Miss Nettleton) that Vicki is getting a good education and leading a normal life aboard the ship because Miss Stoddard, a welfare worker, has the final word on whether Stubing can keep custody of his daughter. In HONEYMOON PRESSURE, by Sylvia Hecht, newlyweds Terri and Mark Carlson (Miss Plumb and Viscuso) are shocked when they find out that two of Mark's friends, Ralph and Ben (Alden and Bakalyan), have decided to take the stateroom next door.
