Instead of sticking to New Year’s resolutions this year, the ladies of The Talk have decided to take on "New Year's Evolutions." For Host Julie Chen that meant hitting the stage as...
...a rapper!
Wait, what? (Watch in the above clip!)

"I thought, well, I’m not going to sing because everyone will suffer," joked the self-proclaimed "tone-deaf" host. "But what can I do? I know how to talk, so what if I were to try rapping?"
The crowd erupted in applause with the host's unexpected thought.
Luckily for Julie, she could turn to fellow Host and two-time GRAMMY® winner Eve for a little assistance on getting comfortable behind the mic.
Before Julie rapped live on The Talk (she opted to do a cover of 2Pac's 1995 hit "California Love"), Eve guided her in a nearby recording studio to go over what it takes to be a rapper with star quality.
Rapping "comes from your heart and your experiences," explained the accomplished rapper.

Check out Julie in her new domain as Eve inspires her friend to "do what feels completely natural" behind the mic.
