Turns out Jerry O'Connell is a big, BIG fan of The Big Bang Theory!

Promoting his guest spot as Georgie Cooper on The Big Bang Theory (airing tonight, May 3 at 8/7c on CBS and CBS All Access), actor Jerry O'Connell visited The Talk to chat about how excited he was to be on the hit comedy and how he wore a big belt buckle around all week to help him get into character.

"It's such a special show," he told Julie, Sharon, Sheryl, Eve, and Sarah. "The cast, everyone... The writing. It's almost like being a part of history. It was just a real honor for me, and people are going to have a lot of fun watching it tonight. It's super funny and touching."

Of course, if Jerry needed any advice on playing Georgie Cooper, he could always turn to his younger counterpart, Montana Jordan, who portrays a teenage Georgie on Young Sheldon!

Not only did Jerry get to meet Montana (watch the video above to see a photo of them hanging on set), but Jerry studied up for the role by observing his younger counterpart's mannerisms on Young Sheldon.

"You know, I watched all of those episodes and studied [Montana's] mannerisms and everything, and young Montana always sort of leads with his chest," Jerry said. "I [also] wore a big belt buckle around for the entire week and wore my cowboy boots—I gotta say, it really suited me!"

Watch Jerry O'Connell on The Big Bang Theory tonight at 8/7c—as well as the season finale on Thursday, May 10 at 8/7c—on CBS and CBS All Access.
