The Talk's #SeeHer Story Of The Day
The #SeeHer initiative seeks to increase the accurate representation of females in U.S. advertising and media.


Many leading advertisers and popular brands are working together to encourage positive change in the media. CBS Corporation is proud and committed to supporting #SeeHer, a powerful initiative created by the Association of National Advertisers.

The Talk has joined forces to support the #SeeHer initiative with a segment called #SeeHer Stories of the Day. These stories feature powerful women to increase the accurate representation of women and girls in U.S. advertising and media by 20% by 2020. Because "If you can SEE her, then you can BE her."

Today's story featured Jennifer Lopez, who quit college after one semester to pursue her dreams. She tells the website LinkedIn why she believes street smarts are just as important as a college education.

She says, "It's great if someone has an amazing education—but I know from my own experience and my own life that you don't have to have a degree to have value or to be of tremendous worth. That street smarts, experience, and that internal creative know-how are just as valuable as a degree."
