Mindy Kaling reveals how Oprah Winfrey asked to read her script for "Late Night" while flying on her plane to New Zealand to shoot "A Wrinkle in Time." "She [Oprah] asked me if she could read it, and then she disappeared into her bedroom, because her plane has a bedroom, of course... I was so nervous, because Oprah does not mince words," says Kaling. "Two hours later she came out, and she knows Emma [Thompson]... She's like, I really like the script and I have some thoughts. So, I was incredibly honored, and then to sit and take notes and she talked about what she thought on the pages... I was just completely in awe." Sara Gilbert asks, "What was her most helpful note?" Kaling shares, "It was a lot about Emma's character..... making sure that Emma's character, who can be very biting sometimes, should always be biting because there is a reason, and never cruel just to be cruel. And, of course, Oprah isn't like that character at all, but her insights into why she would be doing that".
