Thursday on "The Talk," "Star Trek: Discovery's" Sonequa Martin-Green dishes on tonight's season three premiere and what they have discovered. She shares, "I love that we have the privilege and the honor of going beyond canon, because we are now in the year 3188 after anything we've ever seen. So we got to create everything...what this crew finds is a world that of course has gone beyond them, the technology is mind-blowing, but that the Federation is gone, so what are they going to do now?" On if her character will take charge as captain, "Well, we're going to have that conversation. You know, this crew only has each other now, we have never before been a family as much as we are now...and there's a lot of factors at play." Eve asks, "'Star Trek: Discovery' has a big celebrity following, how do you feel about their excitement and are you ever surprised to find out that someone is a fan of the show?" Martin-Green reveals, "Yes, I feel like I'm always surprised, always delighted. Elizabeth Warren is the most recent one that I found out about. I couldn't believe it."
