Actress Jameela Jamil opens up about weight and body image while in quarantine. "The diet and the detox companies and the magazines normally around now start freaking us out about our beach body. You have to get beach-body ready. First of all, to have a beach body you just need to have a body and go to the beach. But also, because none of us are going to be at the beach this year, they can't freak us out, and so therefore they're now preying on this pandemic as an excuse for us all to start panicking about our weight. We don't have to think about our weight; we just have to think about surviving." Jamil adds, "Everyone is coming out of this chunkier, and we are going to have to make peace with that, because there's nothing wrong with it." She also shares, "I suffer from body dysmorphia, so I can't see in the mirror what other people can see when they look at me...I want to think about my bank accounts, and orgasms, and relationships, and jobs and success."
