Carrie Ann Inaba Opens Up on Forgiving Mother After Being Molested
Michael Jackson's accusers emotionally discussed abuse claims in powerful Oprah Winfrey special after their documentary "Leaving Neverland" aired Monday. Host Carrie Ann Inaba relates to them about having a hard time forgiving her mother after she was also molested. "I forgave my mom too, because actually, my mom didn't do anything to me. She couldn't see things. It's not that she allowed it. She couldn't see it, because she loved the various people around." Sara Gilbert asks, "Do you feel like she should have seen it?" Inaba responds, "Yes, so at the beginning of the healing, when you start to recognize it - you have had this experience, you want the apology... It was hard for her to believe me and I understand that. At first it made me so angry, why aren't you believing me and it made me feel super alone. That's why I have so much compassion for these boys because they are asking for compassion to feel less alone in this struggle they had."
