Carrie Ann Inaba Tears Up Over Wade Robson's 'Leaving Neverland'; 'I'm proud of him'
Host Carrie Ann Inaba tears up over discussing fellow dancer, Wade Robson, one of the subjects of the new HBO documentary, "Leaving Neverland." "I just feel him so much. I'm so proud of him for speaking out... Even feeling how much I feel, feeling kindred to him, and feeling so much sadness, I also still want to say, honestly, about the musical legacy [of Michael Jackson], I don't think it's going to change. There is music from Michael Jackson, right now, I'm filled with anger toward him. Those songs touched and shaped who I am. They will always have that meaning. I think the art is different than the artist." Inaba adds, "I know Wade. He was a dancer. We used to take class when he was just a young boy. He was such a bright light, and he still is. Yes, he was broken, but I do think, I want to honor him, and say that I think he's putting himself back together and I see the progress that he's making as someone that has survived all of this and I'm proud of him."
