Queen Latifah visits "The Talk" Friday and discusses playing character Robyn McCall in CBS' new drama "The Equalizer." "For me, the idea of me, a Black woman playing The Equalizer on television every week and getting to create my own version of this character, and to just deliver some justice every week, was just a no-brainer for me. You know, Black women been equalizers for a long time, from Kamala Harris to Rosa Parks, to every last one of y'all that have sat in those chairs, Stacy Abrams for that matter. I'm the daughter of a police officer. I'm a cop's kid, a tactical officer's kid." Latifah jokes, "I like to say some people were born with a silver spoon in [their] mouths, I was born with a gun in my hand, I don't know." She adds, "A lot of these stories are simply about regular people getting stuck in difficult situations, and they don't have rich, powerful friends; And they don't have a lot of money; And they don't have someone they can call to get them out of a jam. But now they do, they have me."
