Looking for a tasty way to add a little color to your holiday menu? If so, The Young and the Restless star Beth Maitland's tangy Brussels sprouts recipe is a perfect choice. This simple, healthy side dish will leave everyone around the table wanting more!

Tangy Brussels Sprouts

1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts
1/2 cup fresh peeled garlic cloves
1/2 cup of quality olive oil
Kosher salt
Fresh cracked pepper
Tajin seasoning (found in the Hispanic Foods section of most markets)
1 lime, juiced

  • Preheat oven to 450
  • Wash Brussels sprouts, discard any damaged outer leaves
  • Cut Brussels sprouts in half and place in large bowl
  • Cut garlic cloves in half and add to the bowl
  • Toss liberally with olive oil, salt, and fresh ground pepper
  • Spread on a cookie/baking sheet lined in foil (shiny side down)
  • Place under the broiler for about five minutes,  watch so the outer leaves don't burn, turn gently, and repeat. You want the outer leaves brown but not burned.
  • Turn the heat down to 350˚ and roast until tender (about 10-15 minutes)
  • Remove and sprinkle with Tajin (lime and pepper seasoning) and the juice of one lime
  • Serve hot!
