Lost and confused, Billy's spirit wanders through the hospital and Genoa City as he desperately tries to stay close to the ones he loves. As he sees how much pain they're in, he's almost ready to call it quits.
Chelsea worries about Adam.
After leaving the hospital, Chelsea comes home to say goodbye to Adam. Although she feels something doesn't feel right, Adam dismisses her fears and heads off to the airport—or so he thought.
Just as he boards the elevator, someone sneaks up on him and knocks him out cold. Chelsea hears the thud and instantly goes into panic mode. Who would try to hurt Adam?
Delia gives her father new hope.
As Billy is about to give up, an angel appears. Delia, Billy's late daughter, encourages her father to keep fighting for his life and to rejoin his loved ones. With tears in his eyes, Billy tells his little girl he loves her.
"I love you, too, Daddy," Delia tells him with a smile. "Now, go."
Billy shocks his family.
Still tearfully gathered around Billy, the family prepares to let him go for good. But, just as they came to terms with his passing, Billy stuns them all when the doctor reports he has brain activity.
Overcome with hope, Victoria exclaims, "Billy's coming back to us!"
