While Stitch takes a call from the hospital, Abby finds herself alone with Max, who has made it abundantly clear that he doesn't care for her. Instead of heading to a movie, Abby takes her new stepson over to the lab so she can confide in her mother about her parenting troubles. 

Meanwhile, Ashley keeps her illness a secret. 

While the ladies talk in the other room, Dr. Neville finds himself playing babysitter. Thankfully, with the help of a few ingredients and beakers, the doctor is actually able to peak Max's interest. 

Working with Sage to get more information out of Dr. Anderson, Nick decides to play along with the psychiatrist's games and agrees to admitting Sage. While Sage tells Nick that as long as they're working together they'll be okay, they're taking a major risk. Could the couple be in over their heads? 

After witnessing the drama at the police station, Adam and Chelsea rush to the hospital to check on Sage. Knowing her husband is furious with his brother's decision, Chelsea reminds Adam that he needs to maintain his cool and that Nick ultimately has the final say. 

Without telling him exactly what's going on, Sage pleads with Adam to believe that Dr. Anderson has an ulterior motive. 

Will Adam come to Sage's side, or will Dr. Anderson turn him against her?
