Eager to start a family, Nick and Sage meet with a pregnant teenager, who is considering putting her child up for adoption. While nervous at first, Sage warms up as she talks about the prospect of becoming a mother.

Noah's surgery may have left him bruised and aching, but he isn't letting the pain stop him from cozying up with Marisa. How long will the odds swing in his favor?

What starts as a nice family gathering quickly turns sour when DA Christine Williams gives Sharon a piece of her mind.

"Every time a Newman breaks the law, they either buy or blackmail their way out of trouble," she tells a shocked Sharon. "Adam served zero time for running over Delia because Victor had some backroom deal with Judge Moxley, and now, oh my gosh, she's being assigned to Noah's case! It's not a coincidence. It's been happening for years, and I am so sick and tired of it."

When Billy tells Phyllis that Victoria is confronting Victor about his vile actions, he isn't met with the gratitude and excitement he expects. 

"Blood is thicker than evidence," she tells him. "She's going to protect her daddy like a good Newman."

After storming out of dinner, Sharon heads over to Crimson Lights where she finds her ex-husband meeting with Shawn. Surprised, Sharon agrees to share a few words about Nick and Sage's relationship and parenting strengths.

"You won't find a better or more loving father on the face of the Earth," she says with a smile. "Trust me on that."

Determined to make Victor pay for his actions, Phyllis decides that it's time to involve law enforcement. Seeing Paul at dinner, she seizes her chance. 

While he seemed skeptical about her claims at first, Paul quickly warms up and assures both Phyllis and Billy that he will do what he can to make things right.

After Paul confronts Victor about Phyllis's report, the Newman patriarch goes into cardiac arrest and is transported to the hospital. With family surrounding him, Victor lashes out at everyone who chooses to believe he's become a monster. 

"I don't need any of you," he yells. "You think you can do without me? You'd be nothing without me!" 

Will Phyllis get the justice she craves, or will Victor's condition leave the Newmans and Abbotts to fend for themselves?
