In its ongoing quest to deliver a more contemporary brand experience, United Airlines has just debuted its new, almost 30,000 square-foot United Club at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The first in a series of United Clubs throughout its network, Newark’s 480-seat location juxtaposes a striking Manhattan skyline view against a modern backdrop of regionally sourced, Newark-inspired dĂ©cor, with two dramatic murals created by local artists Gilbert Hsiao and Dahlia Aferro intensifying the New York/New Jersey area feel.

With free high-speed Wi-Fi and self-scan entry, the Newark Club features six spa-like shower suites (Sunday Riley products included!), and a barista-staffed, full-service coffee bar—in addition to providing standard United Club treats like complimentary beverages and snacks.

Aaron McMillan, United’s managing director of hospitality and planning, notes that the nod to Newark’s “locally inspired experience” has set a location-centric design precedent for United’s club openings and renovations network-wide. united.com
