With the goal of bringing baseball and softball to underserved and underrepresented young athletes across the U.S., The Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation is partnering with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum this summer to host a free series of camps.

Opening at various locations through August 15, each camp’s hitting and fielding drills will be led by a current African-American pro baseball player who will also provide individual instruction and motivational tips—while camp coaches and pro players alike will team up to create a positive, lively environment complete with fundamental skills stations, contests, and games.

”We are excited to partner with The Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation to provide a historical connection and bridge the economic divide that has prevented kids from playing baseball and softball,” says Negro Leagues Baseball Museum President Bob Kendric. Visit www.procamps.com to learn more.
