After a year of nurturing elementary aged children at Twin Rivers Elementary, The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation and McKeesport Area School District (MASD) are creating a first-ever partnership. The collaboration is the result of meaningful input from families, teachers and community leaders, and will result in a new co-designed school model and Community Resource Center.
DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation has been investing in kids for almost 75 years, and this new project raises the bar on bringing their best efforts forward for children. The new school model will take a holistic approach to education, emphasize rigorous academics, and focus on building healthy bodies, minds, lifestyles and relationships.
Aimee Watters, Executive Director of The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation said, "We believe it is our responsibility to invest in our communities to ensure future generations have the resources they need to thrive." dickssportinggoods.com
