Heartbreaking and redemptive, Ask Again, Yes explores the intertwined lives of two police officers and their families over the course of many decades. After training together in the NYPD, Brian Stanhope and Francis Gleeson coincidentally become next door neighbors, but their attempts at a family friendship are quickly shattered due to the instability and explosive outbursts of Brian’s wife, Anne.

Despite the parents’ warnings to their children to avoid each other’s’ family, a friendship—and eventually a romance—ensues between the Stanhopes’ son and the Gleesons’ youngest daughter. Kate Gleeson and Peter Stanhope struggle with the complexity of love and the emotional strain of family trauma. As they explore the events that unfolded within their childhood, they ask themselves, can love and forgiveness truly conquer all?
