Filmed in four countries over three continents in 150 days, Blood & Treasure follows brilliant antiquities expert, Danny McNamara (Matt Barr), and a cunning art thief, Lexi Vaziri (Sofia Pernas), and their global adventures as they team up to catch a ruthless terrorist who funds his attacks through stolen treasure.

Lexi Vaziri (Sofia Pernas) is a resourceful art thief who is haunted by the tragic loss of her father. Danny McNamara (Matt Barr) is a former FBI agent specializing in stolen art and antiquities, who recruits Lexi on a high-stakes case.

As they crisscross the globe hunting their target, they unexpectedly find themselves in the center of a 2,000-year-old battle for the cradle of civilization.

In order to shoot outdoor scenes like this one in Rome, location managers met with local officials to navigate laws and ordinances. In Italy, for example, filming is prohibited within close proximity of monuments.

When the globe is your set, one shoot location often needs to reflect multiple destinations. The dusty streets of Marrakesh stood in for Egypt, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.

Battling unexpected showers and windstorms are just a couple of the real-world complications that kept the crew on their toes. They tackled them with creative solutions and problem solving, like using natural elements to their advantage for certain scenes.
