Young Sheldon's Trip To NASA Culminates In A Stellar Moment
After taking a NASA rep to school, Sheldon comes to realize a pivotal truth in "A Patch, a Modem, and a Zantac®."

Who knew Sheldon (Iain Armitage) had his foot in NASA's door at such an early age?

In the latest episode of Young Sheldon, "A Patch, a Modem, and a Zantac®," the aspiring theoretical physicist made it his life's mission to spite a NASA representative (guest star Jason Kravits) after he dismissed his science for how to land a spacecraft.

The nine-year-old took this so seriously, in fact, that his dad (Lance Barber) drove him and the family all the way to Houston so that Sheldon could give the rep a piece of his mind.

Okay, maybe more than a piece.

As Sheldon soon discovered, his science was indeed sound—brilliant, even—but the representative informed the boy he was, essentially, ahead of his time.

"Alright, call me when you catch up," Sheldon resolved, and he promptly walk out the door.

While the road trip wasn't exactly what you'd call a success, Sheldon realized that George Sr.'s gesture may have very well set him on his way to becoming a world-class theoretical physicist.

You know, as opposed to just your average "Joe Six-Pack" theoretical physicist. This resulted in a touching "thank you" from Sheldon to his father.

So cute!
