My Daytime Awards

Here are a few helpful guidelines to follow:

START OFF RIGHT!
For the Outstanding Actor and Actress categories, start each submission by loudly and clearly stating the actor's full name, and their character's name (an example is: “ Kim Zimmer… Reva Shane Lewis”). For Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Drama Series, start each submission by loudly and clearly stating the name of the show (an example is: “The Young and The Restless!”). Then you can continue to tell us what it is about the show/actor/actress that you love.

SPEAK UP AND STAY CLOSE!
Make sure we can hear you. Since most camera microphones are not overly sensitive, speak up! And, keep the camera close to you. The farther you walk away, the harder it will be to hear you.

DON'T FORGET 2006!
Remember, these shows, actors, and actresses have been nominated for outstanding performances in 2006. So when you talk about them, please limit the scope of your submission to things that happened in the daytime world in 2006.

Each Video:

must be no longer than forty (40) seconds in total running time with a file size no greater than one hundred megabytes (100 MB) and must contain a message relating to only one Category;
must be in English;
must be delivered by uploading the Video to the MyDaytimeAwards Site, formatted and encoded in accordance with the requirements listed on the MyDaytimeAwards Site;
must not contain music or lyrics of any kind;
must not contain any video clips belonging to someone else, including video from any daytime drama program or talk show program or other television program;
must not contain any logos, trademarks, or commercial products, including on any clothing worn by the individual appearing in the Video;
must not infringe any third party's rights, including, without limitation, copyright, trademark, right of publicity, right of privacy or trade secret and, must not in any way violate applicable laws and regulations or network standards;
must be suitable for broadcast on national television and not contain any content or performance that is sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, offensive, illegal, pornographic or obscene or that is in bad taste or is otherwise objectionable to Sponsor, in its sole discretion;
must not contain libelous or otherwise defamatory statements (including but not limited to words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group);
must not include threats to any person, place, business, group or world peace;
must not contain any commercial content that promotes any product or service;
must not include more than two additional individuals other than the individual who submits the Video (no more than three (3) individuals [including the entrant] allowed in the Video);
must be recorded and created only by the person who submits the Video.
