Sleep glorious sleep. I feel so much better, completely recharged. Got to bed about 9pm up at 4am and now on our way to the airport. Flying to Athens, we’ll get straight into things when we land. Heading to the world famous bungy jump set up over the Corinth Canal. An extraordinary man made canal about 250 feet deep. It was established to help out with the major shipping in this part of the world. Of course, it has created a perfect spot for bungy jumpers to jump into history. |

Great view. Too good an opportunity to miss, have to have a jump myself. Actually, we’ve arranged for me to wear a camera for the Roadblock explanation. Washed my hair and had a shave in front of the bungy guys, got some strange looks. No trailer, but one of the guys joked that Hollywood had come to town. |

If you haven’t jumped…do it. Seriously, it is a great way to take a mental leap. It is not dangerous. Actually, it is very safe. What’s tough is launching yourself off a solid object attached to a rubber band. AJ Hackett bungy has had thousands of people jump since they launched in 1989 and they haven’t had so much as a sprained ankle. Taking the leap will serve as a metaphor for how you live the rest of your life…push your mind to a place it has never been before. I talk all about this in my book. Trust me, it will change the way you live. Very exciting jump. There was a ship coming towards us so we had to time it so I didn’t jump down onto the ship. Check out www.zulubungy.com and get a look at what the teams faced. Rushing to the restaurant to shoot the plate breaking. The teams will do it tomorrow, but we want to get it done early while we have the time. This is done here to ward off evil spirits. We will have our first sit down meal tonight since starting the Race, excluding sit down meals on planes of course. I have just been corrected by someone listening to me talk into my Dictaphone, we did have another sit down meal in Russia…I stand corrected. Anyway, Greek food, mmm, grape leaves, bread, rice…I love that the waiter just brings a tray of food and lets you pick what you want. Pouring rain. We are thinking about the Fast Forward. If a team takes it then we will have a much tighter schedule. Very congested getting out of Athens this morning, but it will be the same for the teams. OK, Eric & Jeremy have luck on their side once again. They have the Fast Forward and we only have a small lead. Lots of people calling us panicking about whether we’ll stop to shoot the Detour before getting to the Pit Stop. There will be no time tomorrow, so we’ll just have to do quickly. |

Big spread on the time when the teams are expected. At the Pit Stop, Eric & Jeremy are only 10 minutes behind us. Man they are quick. Teams moved very quickly today. Crazy storm came in while I checked in Fran & Barry. We have moved everything underground…lightning is not something to mess with. OK, so we move everything and now we are going to move back again…the storm has gone. Oh well, it gave us something to do while we were waiting. Lake & Michelle were last tonight. Very disappointed. Rather than drive all the way back to Athens tonight we’ll stay here and get up early. I have two shows from season 8 to do voiceover for. We’ll set up a makeshift voiceover booth in a hotel room. |
