Men's Tennis' Gurevich Named UAA Athlete of the Week - Singles

New York University junior captain Mikhail Gurevich captured the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week - Singles on Monday.

Gurevich earned the honor after repeating as the Wilson/ITA Northeast Singles Champion September 29-October 1 at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie. The junior won six matches, dropping only one set in the process, to qualify for the ITA National Small College Champinships, presented by the United States Tennis Association (USTA), at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL, on October 12-15.

Gurevich has captured singles championships on two straight weekends, having won the ECAC North First Singles title September 23-24 at Vassar.

Gurevich is 9-3 in singles play this season and has won nine consecutive matches.
