Puckering Up for America
Eric Wins PoV Things are heating up in the BIG BROTHER 8 house as Jessica and Eric share their first kiss, Dick and Daniele continue to bicker and Amber asks God to save her from eviction. Eric dashes away with his first PoV win, but chooses not to use it, leaving the nominations unchanged. The HouseGuests' reactions to the nominations are varied. Daniele is wary of being double crossed by her tenuous alliance partners Eric and Jessica. Meanwhile, Zach and Amber are blindsided by unexpected targeting for eviction. Zach is miffed, snarling, "Jessica flat out told me, to my face, she could trust me…but then she puts me up." Amber is taking solace in a higher meaning behind her nomination and believes she is protected from eviction. Safe in the comfort of his alliance, Dick smiles at the predicament of his housemates, grinning wickedly, "Things couldn't be going any better." Strange and Mysterious Ways Amber retreats to her bedroom where she prays for her safety in the house. Later in the diary room she breaks down and weeps over the thought of going home. Meanwhile Daniele drops by the bathroom while Zach is showering. She is carefree with her advice for Zach not to worry about being nominated, as in this game everyone gets nominated at some point. Zach reveals he is focused on winning the PoV and Daniele nods, knowing the feeling of being on the block all too well. "We have plenty of time," she assures him, and leaves. Keeping in good with the HoH, Jameka congratulates Jessica on a job well done during the ceremony. Although she doesn't reveal it to the HoH, Jameka admits she is surprised by Amber's nomination, thinking that Jessica would have targeted Dick and Daniele instead. Jameka voices her suspicions privately in the diary room that Jessica may be intending to backdoor Daniele with the PoV. When she is alone with Amber, Jameka whispers her suspicions to her friend. Amber's take on her nomination is that it resulted from Jessica being too afraid to nominate Dick or Daniele as she'd alienate them if she tried and failed. Jameka nods, but remains unconvinced. "You're staying," she smiles to Amber, confident that her friend will survive eviction this week. Wedding Bells? The budding romance between Eric and Jessica gets a little nudge when Eric announces the pair would be married by now if they were living outside the BIG BROTHER 8 house. He smiles, warning Jessica they are going to be in some real trouble soon as their attraction is getting out of hand. Jessica smiles coquettishly and confides in the diary room, "I definitely see wedding bells in our future." Amidst the madness of life in the BIG BROTHER 8 house, Jameka takes some time out for private prayer. "I felt compelled to start praying," she reveals of her time in the HoH. Jameka gets emotional during her prayer and cries openly. When Jessica walks into the room, at first she doesn't realize what Jameka is doing and asks if she is all right. "At first I though Jameka had fallen and hurt herself, but she was praying," Jessica reported later on. Looking to console her housemate, Jessica offers a hug, which Jameka accepts and the women embrace. Jess takes the opportunity to open up to Jameka about her own spiritual beliefs, revealing, "I am way into church too." Jameka's spirits are buoyed by her friend's testimony and after they share some stories about their various experiences. |
