David James Elliott is best known for playing Cmdr. Harmon "Harm" Rabb on the hit series JAG, which aired for nine seasons on CBS, 10 seasons total (one on NBC).
Elliott got the acting bug when he read King Lear in a theater history class at the age of 19 and was encouraged to try his hand at acting. He went on to star in "Melrose Place," and a one-time appearance on "Seinfeld," which launched his US career. He guest-starred in series such as "Doogie Howser, M.D.," "China Beach," "The Hitchhiker," "Knots Landing" and "Dark Justice," on CBS. Among his additional television credits are movies "Sixty Minute Man," "The Man Who Lost Himself" and "Dodson's Journey," on CBS. Elliott's feature film credits include "Clockwatchers" and "The Shrink Is In."
Elliott was born in Toronto and lives with his wife and two children in Los Angeles. His birth date is Sept. 21.
