Wil's Final Words

A native of North Carolina, singer/songwriter Wil moved with his parents to Germany when he was 9 years old and traveled variously to China, Thailand and New Zealand. Eventually moving back to the United States, his family settled in Burlington, North Carolina. Wil's burgeoning musical interests culminated in recording an album for a senior high school project.

In 2000, Wil released his self-titled independent album on the Chicago Kid label. He embarked on a subsequent tour of England with the Pretenders' guitarist Robbie McIntosh, and months of US touring with his own band eventually led to a recording deal with Maverick/WB. Wil has opened for Dave Matthews, Sister Hazel, Chris Isaak, Dishwalla and Vertical Horizon. When he performs, his main objective is to make sure people walk away feeling better than they did walking in. He believes we all make our own reality and true success is measured by how many people are cheering for you when you finally make it to the top.
