Rules of Engagement Cast - Adhir Kalyan

Biography
Adhir Kalyan

Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, Adhir Kalyan, began his career, in stage
productions of "Macbeth," "Oliver," "A Christmas Carol," and "The Ground Beneath Her Feet."

In 2005, he made the decision to move to London to further his acting career which led
to memorable characters on multiple BBC series including "Holby City VIII" and "Spooks V."
The move also sparked Kalyan's film career with supporting roles in the independent feature
films "Out Loud," "The Eastern Bride" and "The Sunflower." Work once again led Kalyan
to relocate, this time to the United States where he starred as Raja on the critically acclaimed
television series, "Aliens in America." Other television credits include a memorable recurring
character on the series "Nip/Tuck."

Kalyan was recently seen in the Jason Reitman-directed feature, "Up in the Air" with
George Clooney, and starring opposite Michael Cera in "Youth in Revolt." Other feature film
credits include "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" with Kevin James and "Fired Up." Kalyan is currently
working with another Reitman family member, Ivan Reitman, in his 'Untitled Comedy Project"
with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher, due out early next year.

Kalyan is an avid sports fan, playing in cricket and soccer leagues in Los Angeles; he
hopes to add "first baseman" to his weekend activities before long. An admitted cinephile,
biographies and books on film are scattered throughout his apartment, and he spends the
remainder of his time googling Jennifer Beals, drinking tea and avoiding David Spade. He
wishes he was more patient and likes girls who speak in Southern accents like those Tennessee
Williams' plays. When he grows up, he wants to be a commentator for the UEFA Champions
League.

His birthday is Aug. 4.
