Survivor Host: Hi everyone! We're now joined by Jan. Hi Jan!
Jan: Hey, guys! Thank y'all for supportin' us!
GretchenIsMyGod: Jan, you seemed resigned to go once it came to the Final Four. Were you willing to settle for 3rd or 4th place, or did you find yourself stuck in this position? How so?
Jan: I kinda felt like yes, I was stuck in that position. If it had been Ted, Helen and me, I think it still would've been Ted and Helen, and if it was Brian and Clay, then I'm still third man out. Although Helen and I were real close, I just don't know. Helen would have gone with Ted, because I think she works with men, but I don't know! We could've been the Final Two but it didn't work out.
xoxoxo: Jan, if you could change anything you did, what would it be?
Jan: I know I would've talked to Helen more. We didn't communicate enough. It would've changed the outcome; it really might have.
Jasmine: How did it feel to get lost with Helen on the boat ride?
Jan: [laughs] Oh, I got tired, and she was tired, and she was getting a little cross! [laughs] We used a lot of energy and that was the bad part.
epkish: The Slip through Your Fingers Immunity Challenge looked like it hurt. Do you remember what it felt like? If so, what did it feel like?
Jan: The torture was hard! What's funny is when Clay, Brian and I saw it, we all three looked at each other, and we all said that it was awful. That made me feel good. I am 20 years older than Brian, and I saw him even grimace, so I felt like I was hanging with him even though I was older.
cottoncandy: Jan, were you happy that Brian won over Clay?
Jan: Yes, I voted for Brian, and I think because Clay barked orders at Helen and me all the time while he lay down, that got on my nerves, and frankly, Brian could have won more Challenges. He was very smart, because you know if you win too many Challenges you get voted off. So he tried to win the important ones. He could have probably won almost every one of them. That's very wise.
OniCitizen: Jan, did your first grade class do anything special for you when you returned from Thailand?
Jan: [laughs] They had bats and spiders all over my room, and all this green foliage out like it was Thailand! So yes, there were spiders and snakes all in my mailbox and everything. They'd made a crown for me to wear, and it was hysterical! Stuffed crabs and bats! [laughs]
SURVIVOR4ever: Who were your favorite and least favorite Survivors on the show?
Jan: The top five I was closest with, and we really had a tight bond because of how hard we had to work and scrimp. After Tanya went, we didn't lose another Challenge, and that really put us tight together. My least favorite, because I didn't know him, I just didn't know him, but now I've gotten to know him, was Robb. But he is a nice guy; he's just young.
