SURVIVOR: ALL-STARS BEGINS; TINA WESSON FIRST TO GO
Thirty-nine days, eighteen castaways, three tribes, four previous winners and one Sole Survivor! SURVIVOR: ALL-STARS has begun. On night three in the first Tribal Council of this historic edition, the newly formed Saboga tribe was forced to vote off one of their own. It was the fear of a previous winner's abilities to repeat a win that caused the tribe to vote out Tina Wesson, the 42-year-old winner of SURVIVOR: THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK from Knoxville, Tennessee, in a four-to-two decision. (Tribes arrive in Panama )
Upon learning she was the first castaway to be sent home, Tina remarked, "This experience has been different for me because I went in on an equal playing ground the first time. I kinda expected it... but it doesn't make it any easier."
THREE TRIBES, EIGHTEEN ALL-STARS AND ONE WINNER
With a Panamanian military escort, three motorboats shot across the sea, each holding a tribe of castaways from SURVIVORs past: All-Star Survivors. The eighteen people were divided into three tribes named Saboga, Mogo Mogo and Chapera. The All-Stars were given nothing but their water canteens. They were not told the names of the other castaways or how many tribes there were. Armed with no information, no fire and no help, these eighteen All-Stars would be challenged once again to outwit, outlast and outplay one another in order to see who will become the Sole Survivor.
