Patrick Wilson is a critically acclaimed, award-winning theater and film actor who is making his television debut as the star of "A Gifted Man." He earned a BFA in Drama from Carnegie-Mellon University and then went on to star in numerous Broadway productions as well as feature films. Most recently, he appeared in the feature film "Insidious." His other film credits include "The Ledge," "Young Adult," "Little Children," "The Switch," "Barry Munday," "Morning Glory," "The A-Team," "Evening," "Lakeview Terrace," "Passengers," "Life in Flight," "Purple Violets," "Running with Scissors," "Hard Candy," "The Phantom of the Opera" and "The Alamo." Wilson received Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations for his role in the television miniseries, "Angels in America," and has received two consecutive Tony Award nominations for Best Actor in a Musical, for his work in "Oklahoma" and "The Full Monty," for which he also won a Drama League Award. Additional Broadway credits include "Barefoot in the Park," "All My Sons" and "Gershwin's Fascinating Rhythm." Wilson resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children. His birth date is July 3.
