Alan Kalter began as the "voice" of the Late Show with David Letterman on September 5, 1995. He announces the guests at the top of each show and also assists David in calling out the letter numbers during the Late Show viewer mail segment, The CBS Mailbag.
Alan has done hundreds of voiceovers for national radio and television commercials. He was also the announcer for many New York-based television shows including To Tell the Truth, The $25,000 Pyramid, The Money Maze, and The $100,000 Question, which, coincidentally, was taped during the 1980s in the Ed Sullivan Theater.
Alan is a native New Yorker, born in Brooklyn and raised in Little Neck and Cedarhurst, New York.
