Thorsten Kaye plays the role of “Ridge Forrester”, world renowned designer and charming heir to the fashion empire, Forrester Creations, on the multi Emmy® Award winning drama,THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.
Born in Germany and raised in England, Kaye moved to the United States in 1985 on a track scholarship to the United States International University. While majoring in Physical Education, with a minor in Drama, a twist of fate changed his life’s direction. He eventually graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and later earned his Master’s Degree from Wayne State University in Theater and Theater History.
With a great love for the theater, Kaye starred in many stage productions including Macbeth and Antony and Cleopatra while being a member of the Hilberry Repertory Theater Company in Detroit, MI.
In 1995, Kaye booked his first television role on the daytime drama, One Live to Live, in the role of “Patrick Thornhart”. After taking time off to pursue other roles on television and stage, Kaye returned to daytime television in 2003 on Port Charles playing his former character’s brother, “Ian Thornhart”, where he earned two Daytime Emmy® nominations. In 2004, he began playing “Zach Slater” on All My Children where he garnered another two more Daytime Emmy® nominations. He most recently appeared for two seasons on the prime time hit, Smash, as “Nick Felder” playing opposite of Academy Award winner, Anjelica Huston.
Kaye celebrates his birthday on February 22nd.

The Bold and the Beautiful, which celebrated its 27th anniversary on March 23, 2014, is a Bell-Phillip Television production, broadcast weekdays (1:30-2:00 PM, ET, 12:30-1:00 PM PT) on the CBS Television Network. It is the first and only daytime drama to simulcast in Spanish utilizing SAP (Secondary Audio Program) technology. Bradley P. Bell is the Executive Producer and Head Writer.
