Patrick Duffy hosts this special honoring everyday Americans who have performed extraordinary acts of bravery and courage.

Duffy, of the series "Dallas" fame, presents two remarkable stories of heroes and the selfless acts they performed. The events are recounted firsthand by the honored heroes and the people they helped survive.

In the first story, Lesli Lancaster recounts how a 1997 truck accident nearly took her life. Were it not for Navy Lieutenant Matthew Scott's act of bravery she might well have died. Now a mother, Lesli wants to reunite with Matthew and thank him properly.

The second story recounts the heroic actions of teacher Jon Lane, who risked his own life to save 16 students during a school shooting in Moses Lake, Wash., in 1996. Now, 10 years later, these grateful students reunite to honor their teacher.
