Reg Robelatti (Thomas Gibson)
Reg is a great date who knows how to mix a mean martini and bake a mighty tasty cupcake, if he does say so himself. His penchant for dating models, actresses and dancers is not intentional and has nothing to do with appearances. He is always up for a great game of Poker--or Go Fish. He hopes to get a dog soon, preferably a mutt who can play Frisbee.
Julia Bellows (Poppy Montgomery)
Julia is a world-traveling photojournalist who has, until recently, enjoyed a nomadic lifestyle. In college, she sang in a rock band called The Harpies, but she soon discovered she preferred being behind the scenes. She has photographed a lot of rock stars over the years and can confirm that many of them are big babies--er, except for the ones she's dated.
Great Aunt Marie (Doris Roberts)
Aunt Marie was a secretary at a famous literary magazine that shall go unnamed before she put her energy into political causes. She has volunteered on many campaigns and has helped save a number of animals from extinction. She has spent time in rain forests and was attempting to save a tree from being cut down when she broke her hip. She enjoys a vegetarian lifestyle and knows how to weave and tie-dye.
Waylon Oliver Moore (Jeremy Bergman)
Waylon is a 4th grader with a strong interest in nature and astronomy. He is a fan of baseball, soccer and knock-knock jokes. He hopes to invent "something cool" some day. He doesn't really like cupcakes so much, preferring brownies and grape jelly beans, but don't tell Reg that. He turns out to be an outstanding shuffleboard player and looks forward to the day when the sport will be taken more seriously.
