The Teams raced on foot through the streets. "There it is! I see it!" Tara shouted. She and Wil made it to the route marker at the pier in first place. Ripping open the clue, they found they were to head to Murray Circle at East Fort Baker and follow the flags to the finish line. They raced off to find a taxi as Chris & Alex made it in second.
A policeman told Chris & Alex that East Fort Baker was just across the Bay Bridge. He also let them know where to grab a taxi. Blake & Paige arrived at the route marker in last place and began their hunt for a taxi.
Mad Dash for the Finish
 Racing on foot through an intersection, Wil told Tara they should head the other way. Dashing through the streets of San Francisco, Chris & Alex were the first to find a taxi. Right after them, Tara & Wil also snagged a taxi. Their taxi got out of the intersection just ahead of Chris & Alex. Looking back, Wil realized Chris & Alex had decided to follow them to the final location; their taxi driver was unsure of how to get there. "We can't beat them in a foot race," he said. Agreeing, Tara begged their driver to go faster to build a lead over the Boston Buddies. "At least 200 yards," she told them.
Strategizing about how they might be able to lose Chris & Alex, Wil told the driver to stop at an incorrect location. His plan was to fool Chris & Alex into getting out of their taxi and running ahead towards what they expected to be the finish line. Wil got out of his car, baiting Chris & Alex to follow. Chris & Alex weren't sure whether they were being duped or not. But finally, the two got out of their taxi to find out if they were at the right place. A passerby told them that East Fort Baker was on the other side of the bridge. They hopped back in their taxi to head across. Once Wil saw that Chris & Alex were on their way, he shouted to Tara to get back into the cab. Tara yelled, "Wil, you're an idiot!"
But sure enough, without having Tara & Wil to follow, Chris & Alex had to stop to ask another motorist how to get to East Fort Baker. Wil's plan worked for now: he and Tara resumed the race in the lead. But seconds later, there was Chris & Alex once again, right behind Tara & Wil.
Meanwhile, as Blake & Paige worked their way toward the finish line in their taxi, Blake said to Paige, "No matter what happens, we had an amazing trip. And we saw the whole world."
