Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID IN THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC, THE COMMONWEALTH OF PUERTO RICO, AND WHERE PROHIBITED.
- Eligibility: The Royal Caribbean Amazing Race Cruise Getaway (the "Sweepstakes") is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, or of Canada, except residents of the Province of Quebec, who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Eye Net Works, Inc., ePrize, LLC, their respective parent and related companies, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. Subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations. Void in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Province of Quebec, and where prohibited. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions, which are final. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

- There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes:
a. To enter online: Visit www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race and link to the Sweepstakes entry area of the site. Fill out the online entry form completely and submit. Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m., Eastern Time, on April 15, 2002. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m., Eastern Time, on May 30, 2002. Limit: one (1) entry per person or email address. You may earn up to five (5) bonus entries by referring your friends to CBS and Royal Caribbean. When prompted, submit the name and email address of up to five (5) friends. For each referred friend that registers for the Sweepstakes, you will receive one (1) bonus entry into the Sweepstakes. You may only refer persons with whom you have an existing personal relationship. Limit: five (5) referral entries per person or email address. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor or Administrator. Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. Use of any automated system or agent to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
b. To enter by mail: Hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, e-mail address (if any), age and company name on a 3" x 5" piece of paper. Mail it in a hand-addressed envelope to “The Royal Caribbean Amazing Race Cruise Getaway Sweepstakes”, c/o ePrize, P.O. Box 9052, Farmington Hills, MI 48333-9052. LIMIT: one (1) card per separately mailed envelope.
- Drawing & Notification of Potential Winners: Administrator, an independent judging organization whose decisions as to the administration of the Sweepstakes and the selection of potential winners are final, will randomly select potential winners on or about June 7, 2002. Potential winners will be notified by email or telephone within seven (7) days of the drawing. Except where prohibited, each potential winner must sign and return to Sponsor, within two (2) days of being notified, an affidavit of eligibility (or for Canadians, a Declaration of Compliance) and liability/publicity release in order to claim his/her prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days after the first attempt to contact him/her or if he/she fails to sign and return the affidavit and release within the required time period, the potential winner will be deemed to have forfeited any prize and will be disqualified. Potential winners who are residents of Canada will be required to answer correctly a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question by phone or email, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, to be declared a winner. If this skill-testing question cannot be administered to the potential winner within seven (7) days of Sponsor's initial attempt to contact the potential winner, the potential prize winner will be deemed to have forfeited any prize and will be disqualified.
- In the event of a potential winner's disqualification for any reason, Sponsor will award the prize to an alternate winner. All prizes will be awarded. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- Prizes: ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: a trip for two (2) on Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas to the Western Caribbean (includes one double occupancy cabin; Category F-N). Includes round-trip, coach class, air fare for two (2) up to $600 per person to Miami, Florida, accommodations for seven (7) nights, most meals and entertainment aboard vessel. Cruise does not include transfers to the port of embarkation or port disembarkation. Date of voyage subject to availability. Prize will be awarded in the form of a Royal Caribbean Complimentary Cruise Certificate. Seasonal and other restrictions may apply. Cruise vacation must be completed within one year of cruise certificate issue date; Certificate not good for holiday, or inaugural sailings. All expenses not expressly stated in the prize description, including but not limited to, personal charges, casino entertainment, air and ground transportation (other than air fare to Miami, up to US$600 per person), airport security fees, travel visas, passport fees, and taxes are the responsibility solely of winner. Travel companion must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. Winner and travel companion are responsible for obtaining all required passports and visas. Voyage restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): US$3,638/Can.$____
- Release: By receipt of any Sweepstakes prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Eye Net Works, Inc., ePrize, LLC, their respective parent and related companies and each such company's officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the prize or any portion thereof.
- Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes winner's consent to Sponsor's and its agents' use of winner's name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown and state/province for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.
- General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the prize or any portion thereof. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant's sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes.
- Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the District of Michigan (Eastern Division) or the appropriate Michigan State Court located in Oakland County, Michigan; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Michigan, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Michigan or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Michigan.
- Sweepstakes Results: For Sweepstakes results and/or a copy of these Official Rules, send a hand-printed, self-addressed, stamped envelope to Royal Caribbean Amazing Race Getaway, c/o ePrize, LLC, 34405 W. 12 Mile Road, Suite 123, Farmington Hills, MI 48331. Requests must be received by July 31, 2002. Canadian and VT residents may exclude return postage.
