THE RACE SO FAR
EPISODE 13
After 4 continents, 24 cities, and 44,000 miles, married couple Reichen & Chip won THE AMAZING RACE. Starting the leg in second place, the pair took the lead heading into Hawaii when engaged couple Kelly & Jon missed their connecting flight in Tokyo and best friends David & Jeff became stranded in Sydney. Kelly & Jon caught up to Reichen & Chip on a flight to Phoenix, Arizona, and from there the two Teams battled it out in a tight race to the Finish Line. Kelly & Jon struggled to overtake their tenacious competition, but in the end the married couple shot over the Finish Line first. Upon hearing the good news that they had won, Reichen & Chip screamed and cheered in disbelief, as they became the winners of THE AMAZING RACE.
EPISODE 12
With only three Teams remaining, competition grew fierce as the million-dollar prize grew closer. After taking the lead from engaged couple Kelly & Jon at a crocodile feeding route marker, best friends David & Jeff never looked back, cruising to their fourth first-place finish. Married couple Reichen & Chip, finishing second, showed some strain in their relationship when Chip accidentally ran over Reichen's foot with their vehicle. Kelly & Jon, starting the leg off well, endured a day of careless mistakes that took them from first to worst, but were saved by the last non-elimination leg.
EPISODE 11
Leaving Seoul, South Korea for Brisbane, Australia, four Teams battled for three available spots in the finals. Best friends David & Jeff decided to use their Fast Forward and arrived at the Pit Stop in first place. Circus clowns Jon & Al made a critical mistake early in the leg as they booked a later flight than the other three Teams. A last minute error and time penalty for married couple Reichen & Chip couldn't help the clowns as they became the ninth Team to be eliminated from THE AMAZING RACE.
EPISODE 10
After a last-place finish and near elimination in the previous two legs, engaged couple Kelly & Jon came roaring back as Teams traveled to South Korea. All four Teams met just miles from the North Korean border, where some racers took an icy plunge in a frozen river. In Seoul, an intricate subway system slowed down best friends David & Jeff, while married couple Reichen & Chip struggled to eat live baby octopi. In the end, Kelly shone as she punched through wood boards, helping her and Jon earn a first place finish. David & Jeff stepped on the Pit Stop mat in last place, but caught a break, as this was the second of three pre-determined non-elimination rounds.
EPISODE 9
Kelly & Jon began the ninth leg of THE AMAZING RACE with nearly insurmountable odds. Starting in last place, the pair missed the opening of the first route marker, pushing them even further behind. Then they arrived at the Fast Forward to discover it had already been taken by Reichen & Chip, who earned a first-place finish. The stunned Kelly & Jon carried on with the tasks, expecting to be eliminated, only to receive one last shock: encountering a hopelessly lost and frazzled Millie & Chuck at the Roadblock. The pair ultimately battled it out in a car race to the Pit Stop that Kelly & Jon won, forcing Millie & Chuck to become the eighth Team to be eliminated.
EPISODE 8
At the Pit Stop, married couple Reichen & Chip announced their relationship to the other unsurprised Teams, but Millie & Chuck's virginity revelation raised several shocked eyebrows. Leaving India, best friends David & Jeff found themselves in an unfamiliar last place with Jon & Kelly as the other three Teams found earlier flights to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. In Malaysia, dating virgins Millie & Chuck squandered an early lead as they continued their difficulties working together. Jon & Al bested Reichen & Chip in a beachfront Roadblock, stepping onto the mat in first place. Kelly & Jon, trailing the entire leg, finished in last place, but breathed a sigh of relief when Phil informed them that this was a non-elimination leg.
EPISODE 7
Trying to hold onto their lead, best friends David & Jeff found themselves together with the other Teams again as all waited for a train to Ernakulam. Once there, the dynamic duo set the pace for the entire leg, arriving first at the Detour, the Roadblock and a second consecutive time at the Pit Stop. Other Teams fared worse in the leg as Millie & Chuck struggled with an overheated taxi, while Reichen & Chip's cab ran out of gas. A few small but costly mistakes pushed Tian & Jaree into a virtual tie for last place with Reichen & Chip during the Detour. The married couple gave it their all and escaped defeat, as Tian & Jaree became the seventh Team to be eliminated from THE AMAZING RACE.
EPISODE 6
Teams experienced culture shock as racers journeyed from Amsterdam to Mumbai, India. Many were emotionally affected upon witnessing the extreme poverty and crowded living conditions. Kelly and Tian & Jaree endured a harrowing experience during which they were fondled and groped by several men on an overcrowded train. After taking an early lead, Reichen & Chip were passed by David & Jeff, who never looked back as they finished in first place. Monica & Sheree fell behind on the way to the Detour and fought the entire leg to gain the time back, but in the end, became the sixth Team to be eliminated from THE AMAZING RACE.
EPISODE 5
As Teams headed to Amsterdam, relationships within Teams began to crumble, as the stress of being lost proved overwhelming. Trying to maintain their lead from the previous leg, models Tian & Jaree were almost eliminated as Jaree accused Tian of sabotaging their Team. Hopelessly lost on the Amstel River, virgins Millie & Chuck also bickered amid charges from Millie that Chuck doesn't listen to her. Unable to find their way, Millie & Chuck opted for the Fast Forward, finishing in first place. Ultimately, air traffic controllers Steve & Dave couldn't overcome missing a flight connection in Paris and became the fifth Team to be eliminated from THE AMAZING RACE.
EPISODE 4
Set against the beautiful countryside and charming cities of France, Teams again battled over position in line outside a portside gate in Marseilles. After spending the night in their cars, Teams cried foul as models Tian & Jaree and married couple Reichen & Chip drove their cars to the front of the gate. While shocked at the angry outcries, the two Teams wanted to make peace, allowing the other Teams to enter the port first when the gates opened. After a grueling Detour rappel in the mountains, Teams raced to the Pit Stop. Having become lost finding the Detour, Tian & Jaree opted for the Fast Forward, giving them a first place finish. Father and son Steve & Josh, also encountering difficulties in navigating the roads of France, became the fourth Team to be eliminated from THE AMAZING RACE.
EPISODE 3
With tension growing after married couple Reichen & Chip's standoff at the Venice train station in the previous leg, THE AMAZING RACE moved to Vienna, Austria, where tempers flared as Teams battled for the lead at the city's historic and cultural landmarks. Chip squared off against Millie in a footrace to claim a carriage. Chip won the battle, but received a bloody lip in the process. Concerned at being near the bottom of the pack, father and son Steve & Josh won the Fast Forward, earning them a first-place finish. Dating friends Russell & Cindy made a crucial mistake by going to the wrong train station. By the time they realized their mistake and departed for the Pit Stop from the correct station, it was too late, and Russell & Cindy became the third Team to be eliminated from THE AMAZING RACE.
EPISODE 2
Traveling from the snow-capped peaks of Cortina to the intricate latticework of streets in Venice, Italy, the Teams faced a gauntlet of bewildering and sometimes overwhelming challenges, obstacles and mazes. Not liking their chances in a footrace with younger Teams, injured air traffic controllers Steve & Dave took the Fast Forward and finished in first place with a comfortable lead. After a confusing masquerade party Roadblock at a palazzo, dating couple Amanda & Chris raced NFL wives and moms Monica & Sheree through the rainy streets of Venice. In the end, the dating couple from South Dakota was moments too late, becoming the second Team eliminated from THE AMAZING RACE.
EPISODE 1
A journey of 40,000 miles began with the first big step at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. From there, Teams journeyed to the snow-capped peaks of Italy, careening into the first Pit Stop at the Hotel Lajadira in the snowy village of Cortina, nestled among the fabulous vistas of Italy's Dolomite Mountains. At the airport in Los Angeles, tensions boiled over when NFL wives and moms Monica & Sheree were denied desired tickets after father and son Steve & Josh had formed an alliance with air traffic controllers Steve & Dave. Stalking off in disgust, the wives shouted, "Cheaters never win, and they cheated!"
