As it turns out, Hardy has not only the ears, but also the eyes of some of the HouseGuests. Krista watches him and asks, "How beautiful can you get?" while Monica says he gets her hormones going. Will opines that Hardy is playing the nice guy to sneak into the finals, and that it's working "because people are naïve." While Hardy is melting people's hearts, Shannon is freezing others out. Even Mike, her ally, calls her an "Ice Princess." Bunky says of her, "She'll chew you up, spit you out and laugh at you doing it." Hardy calls her public apology for the potato chip incident with Autumn "total crap," and Monica labels her maneuvers as "slick ass" moves. (  Will sees Shannon rollerblades)
A mysterious "Cow Crossing" sign appears in the backyard, a harbinger of the next Luxury Competition. In "Mechanical Bull Riding," the HouseGuests are divided into men against women, and the teams select three representatives to ride the bull. The guys choose Will, Bunky and Hardy. The girls select Nicole, Autumn and Shannon. In Round 1, Bunky and Autumn both fall, eliminating them from Round 2. With the speed of the bull cranked up a notch in Round 2, both Will and Hardy are thrown off very quickly while Shannon rides for the full 30 seconds, giving the victory to the girls.
