8-5-04 HoH: HOME IS WHERE THE ANSWER IS
The HouseGuests head to the backyard and engage in a little bit of True or False, all based on different artifacts in the house. Julie asks a question about the BIG BROTHER House, and each HouseGuest toggles a True/False switch to answer. After two rounds, most of the boys have been eliminated, making the competition essentially moot, as the girls' alliance will definitely have the knives out for Jase. And then it happens: Nakomis wins and becomes the second consecutive female HoH.

8-3-04 POWER OF VETO: THIS LITTLE PIGGY WON THE VETO
Each of the competitors is given thirteen tokens. Their task: to place the tokens into one of six piggy banks standing before them. They must put tokens into at least two banks. The person with the most tokens, but no more than twenty, wins. If a player ends up having more than twenty tokens, that player will be eliminated.

Jase comes through once again, winning the PoV and using it on himself.

7-31-04 HoH: I HAVE A SECRET
Arrayed in the backyard are life-size cutouts of each HouseGuest; in front of these cutouts is a lighted box. Each HouseGuest must stand on the lighted box, their feet behind a black line, lean forward and push a button positioned directly over the mouth of the their life-size cut-out, as though they are shushing themselves. In order to keep the light on and stay in the game, each HouseGuest must keep their finger pressing down the button. If they release their hand, the light goes off, and they are eliminated. The last person to have their box lit up wins HoH.

After an intense nine and a half hour battle of wills, Diane wins, becoming the first female HoH.
