08.12.04 HoH: THE PUCK STOPS HERE
As the HouseGuests enter the backyard, they see a U-shaped, multi-colored shuffleboard game: most of the board is red, with a band of blue at the bottom opposite the starting point. The base of the U is a giant rubber band, and another rubber band stretches across the bottom of the board. The goal of the game is to fire the puck down the lane, bounce it off the base and have it land in the blue zone nearest to where blue meets red. HoH Nakomis will mark where each puck lands. Adria goes first and hits the sweet spot. None of her housemates beat her, and Adria becomes the new HoH.
08.10.04 PoV: POP GOES THE VETO
The HouseGuests enter the backyard to discover a giant wall of colored balloons. While the bulk of the balloons are yellow, there are six circles of different color balloons interspersed throughout the board. Behind each of these colored circles is the image of a competing HouseGuest. One by one, each competitor is allowed three darts; the goal is to unearth the faces of those he or she is competing against. Once all the balloons covering a HouseGuest's face are popped, that HouseGuest is eliminated from the Competition. One by one, the HouseGuests are eliminated, until Drew remains, winning the Power of Veto.
08.07.04 FOOD: FAST TIMES AND CUSTARD PIE
The HouseGuests emerge into daylight to find a giant rotating table laden with hundreds of pies. The HouseGuests must dive into each of the pies face first. Inside each pie, they will find a card, and whatever is written on the card that they pull out is a food item that they will get to eat for the week. Not everybody will get to eat. In addition to food items in the pies are five cards inscribed with "EAT." Whoever gets an EAT card will get to feast on all the goodies everybody else has come up with, while those without will have to live on peanut butter and jelly. But there's a catch. There is also a "STEAL" card. Whoever gets the STEAL card may take somebody else's EAT card. The big winners are Marvin, Cowboy and Karen, and Natalie and Will end up with EAT cards. The Competition ultimately devolves into a wild pie fight.
