09.09.04 HoH: BEFORE OR AFTER
Drew, Diane and Cowboy arrange themselves in three different sections of a circle. In front of them is the word "AFTER"; behind them the word "BEFORE." Julie Chen asks them eight questions, each of which involves two events. If one event happened before the other event, the HouseGuest should step back and onto the word "BEFORE." If the event happened after, they are then to step forward onto the word "AFTER." Drew and Cowboy are neck-and-neck for a short time, but Drew pulls ahead in the end, winning both HoH and a sure spot in the Final Three.
09.07.04 PoV: CAGED
The Power of Veto competition is a Cage Match, BIG BROTHER 5 style. Five life size cages are arranged side by side in the backyard. In front of the each of the cages are objects from competitions past, a post with a key ring and several keys on it and a light with a switch. The goal of the competition is to assemble the objects in a way that will reach the key ring, then use the key to open the cage and once freed, flip the light switch. Whoever gets out first and flips the switch wins.
With the help of Drew and Cowboy, Diane wins PoV and uses it to remove Drew from the block.
09.04.04 HoH: READY, SET, GONE
The remaining HouseGuests stand in their separate booths and have to answer a series of questions relating to items missing from the House. Cowboy takes an early lead with two points, but is joined by Diane, who seems very determined--too determined, in fact--to win, for she buzzes in early on question 7 and is forced out of the game. Nakomis answers the final question relating to the aquarium, and the three-time chopping block resident also becomes the three-time HoH.
09.04.04 PoV: BOUNCED
Drew calls his housemates together for the first Veto Competition featuring all the HouseGuests, not just HoH and those on the block. The game appears to be a bit like Skee Ball, but with a twist: you bounce a ball rather than roll it. There are six alleys, each labeled with a HouseGuest's face. The goal is to bounce the ball into the middle of the target in each HouseGuest's alley. Whoever completes all the alleys in the shortest time wins. In a fierce battle, it comes down to nominees Diane and Marvin, and Diane wins. After brief deliberation, she decides to use the Power of Veto to save herself.
