09.17.04 HoH: EARTHQUAKE
The three HouseGuests stand on separate pedestals, each holding onto a key in the final endurance competition. But there's a twist: the pedestals shake, rattle and roll like a major Southern California ground shaker. And, as if that weren't enough, the platform also descends making it a rocking and rolling back-breaker. To win the HouseGuest must hold on to their key the longest without falling off or letting go of the key.
Drew wins this leg of the competition.
09.17.04 HoH: TWISTED TWOSOME
Part two of the competition. Arranged in the backyard are two giant strands of DNA--each with 8 bars. On each of the 8 bars is a statement. Additionally, there are a series of HouseGuest faces in circles hanging on a board. The goal of the game is to match the faces of two HouseGuests to the correct statement on each of the bars by sliding the faces of the HouseGuests onto the bar and then checking if they are correct by standing on a square in front the of the DNA strands. If they are correct, it dings. If they are incorrect, it buzzes. After answering all 8 questions they must then slide their own face on. Whoever finishes first, wins.
Cowboy breezes past Diane, winning the second part of the competition.
09.17.04 HoH: ENCORE PRESENTATION
The final part of the competition. Julie reads each HouseGuest a series of incomplete sentences, and they must choose the appropriate way to end the sentence. The sentences that Julie reads are based on questions posed to current Jury Members. Whoever gets the most answers right out of six--wins.
Drew dominates and is crowned the final HoH.
09.14.04 PoV: SOCKET TO ME
Ten lightboxes fill the backyard. Inside each lightbox are pictures of various HouseGuests surrounding a large generator. Below each picture are wall sockets. Each HouseGuest must connect the pictures in order of who won the veto from the first week to the last. When they have completed connecting the HouseGuests, they must then go flip the switch on the generator, and if they have it in the correct order the pictures will light up. Whoever does it in the shortest time wins.
Cowboy wins the competition, followed by Diane, Nakomis and Drew.
09.14.04 HoH: EARTHQUAKE
The HouseGuests stand on a platform in the backyard. Each HouseGuest grips a giant key, which they must hold onto no matter what happens. The last person holding onto their key wins. The twist is that the platform shakes, rattles and rolls like an Earthquake.
9-11-04 LUXURY: TRASHIN’ THE FASHION
To earn a shopping spree for new clothes, HouseGuests must destroy the clothes of their fellow HouseGuests. Each HouseGuest has the opportunity to spin a wheel, which will then decide the fate of the most hated garments of their fellow HouseGuests. Those fates are not pretty. There is a huge fire pit labeled, "Flaming Fashion," where each piece of clothing is charbroiled. There’s "Deep Fried Duds," where pants and shirts go the way of the French fry. "Tarred and Tailored" provides a tarring as in days of old--minus the feathers. Last, but not least, is "Sling Shirt," where the article of clothing is soaked and then placed in a giant slingshot and flung over the wall of the backyard, never to be seen again. For each destroyed article of clothing the HouseGuests get thirty seconds of a shopping spree. As a bonus, at the end of the destruction, HouseGuests may choose to destroy the clothing they are wearing for extra shopping spree time.
The gang scores a two minute and forty-five second shopping spree, and each HouseGuest makes the most of the time.
