PITCHER-PERFECT RECEPTION
Why James needs a bible is a mystery as he asks the "Friendship" alliance of Maggie, April, Jennifer, Beau and Ivette, to borrow one. Beau relinquishes his bible, which James then presents to Ivette. Hand on the bible, he swears to Ivette that when he is HoH, he will nominate Howie and Rachel rather than anyone from her alliance. Ivette is drawn further into trusting him again.

Jackal James and Kaysar both know that everything is riding on the PoV. Maggie declares that she must ensure that Kaysar goes home in this game, and Janelle swears that if Kaysar leaves, she's "going to become the biggest bitch in the house."

The boys confirm their plans with their partners before the competition is called. James chooses teammate Sarah, Kaysar chooses Janelle, Maggie teams with Beau, and they hit the ground swinging in a game of Couch Potato. The aim of the game is to throw balls at televisions. Each TV is assigned to a player. The goals are to throw balls to hit the ON button, then to hit the arrows to turn the channels until it reaches Channel 5. The first player whose TV reaches Channel 5 wins the PoV. The players throw from spinning couches in the center of the TV-set circle. After a frustration-venting PoV Competition, Sarah arises as the Angel of Veto Mercy. Kaysar laments, "James is safe; there's just no way to get him. I'm defenseless."
